Core Yoga Description
In this yoga-based practice, we’ll be integrating an awareness of the deepest muscles of the core to support our body fully by directly engaging the “core sheath” via the all powerful ilio-psoas muscle, inside line, and musculature along the spine. We aim to use fine articulations of the core structure that support the yoga bandhas (mula, uddiyana, and jalandhara bandhas). You will learn how to strengthen and lengthen the muscular body to support the skeletal structure to improve stability, reduce back pain, increase range of motion and enhance daily physical activities.

This class will help you to develop core strength, increase flexibility, stamina, agility and stability

Suitability: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Intensity: Medium (you might sweat)
Music: Yes
Props: Yes (belts, blankets, bolster, blocks)

Doris tunes into the needs of her students. She provides detailed and functional instructions with a high level of encouragement and support. She has over 20 years of teaching experience with the goal of helping her students reach their full body potential so students can do what they love to do for the rest of their lives “pain free”.

Power Yoga

A fast paced class in which the sequence of poses changes with each class. Poses flow from one to the next for a strengthening and calorie-burning workout. This is a challenging class that is open to all levels of students. If you’re new to Power it may take a few times, but you’ll soon catch on to the basics!
